FRESHMAN 101
The transition from high school to College can be a bucket full of mixed emotions. Your excited to leave your childhood memories behind and create new college ones. At the same time, it can be sad and confusing because you might not feel so much like a child anymore, but you also don't feel like an adult. The new responsibilities and independence you gain can be difficult to adjust to. Hey! There's a bright-side to it- new friends, adventures, and independence.
I want to help make this transition as smooth as possible so that your college years will be some of the best years of your life! Keep reading to find out how!

DO's & DON'T's
- DON'T believe the hype that just because you no longer have 8 hour-long school days and might not have class every day, that you can stay out partying all night.
- DO try new things! Now don't go crazy with the new things that you try, but have fun and be safe.
- DON'T go off with strangers or go out alone, especially at night. Always travel in a big group or with some friends.
- DO your homework and study. Yes, I know- college is just so exciting. No more parents nagging you every second. But, unlike high school, you will not get "empty" warnings about your grades. Your university might just kick you out, and if you have Financial Aid, you might lose it.
- DON'T expect your roommate to become your best friend and want to do everything with you.
- DO respect your roommate and don't have friends over all the time.
- DON'T be judgmental. In college you will meet people from all around the world with different religions and beliefs than yourself. ALWAYS be open-minded.
- DO eat healthy food and watch what you eat. The Freshman 15 really does exist...TRUST ME.
- DON'T get too dressed up for class. Come on, it's not a fashion show.
- DO get involved around your campus! This is a great way to meet new people and make new friends.
- DON'T ever leave your dorm without cash. Always have some change on you because you never know when you might need it. Also, don't spend too much- BUDGET!
- DO meet new guys, but don't get sloppy and expect every guy to want a serious relationship with you. Most guys just want to have "fun" Freshman year. Respect yourselves ladies!
- DON'T be negative. Turn every situation into a positive even when it seems difficult. After all, college is about making mistakes and learning from them.
- DO enjoy these four years. The time goes by quickly. This is my last year of college and I'm wishing that I had a list like this to help guide me through my Freshman year.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A SUCCESSFUL AND UNFORGETTABLE FRESHMAN YEAR!
Feel free to comment and ask questions!
Until next time my beauties xx
