Discovery Sundays: It's Getting Personal Today

DISCOVERY SUNDAY:

This weeks DISCOVERY SUNDAY is about.....Catherine! That's me by the way for those of you who don't know. Why did I choose myself this week? Well, first of all, I have been extremely busy with work, work, and MORE work! Also, I have started a new business. Yes, I started a business. I still can't believe myself. Everything just happened so quickly, within one week.

I decided to interview myself to help others who want to do something similar, and so you beauties can get to know me a little better. Keep reading, enjoy, and ask ANY questions you'd like.

What is it exactly that you do for work?

-I work at a pre-school with adorable toddlers, I blog, and now I own a business!

What type of business do you have?

-Well, I'm a fashion fanatic so I created an online boutique. The website is not fully up yet, but people can view the outfits on my Facebook: Splash of Beauty Boutique or my other blog: www.splashofbeautyboutique.blogspot.com.

What inspired you to create your own boutique?

From Blogging to Boutique

FASHION BOUTIQUE

Beauty and fashion have always played a big role in my life. Since I was a child I enjoyed creating new clothes and accessories from the clothes that I out-grew. I remember making daisy dukes from my old jeans, and I even created a jean purse from old shorts. Now that I've become older, I still try to be as creative as I can with my clothes and accessories.

MY IDEA
I recently realized that many people stop and ask me, "Where did you get those shoes" or "I love your outfit. Where did you get it?" Most of the things I wear look pretty expensive, but are actually not that bad in price. I believe that EVERYONE deserves to wear great clothes that won't cost them an arm and leg, which is why...............

I've decided to create a small boutique to sell my favorite outfits and accessories at a reasonable price!

DISCOVERY SUNDAY'S- Threla: bath.beauty.home fragrance.

DISCOVERY SUNDAY'S

For those of you who don't know, I am not originally from Boston. However, I moved here about three years ago for University. Living in a new state and city is fun because you have the chance to explore different things. Boston is rich in culture, food and history! So I've decided that every weekend I should discover a new fashion, beauty or health boutique or small business- whether it is popular or not. This allows me to discover new places that people might not know about and share with my favorite beauties on my blog!

The first place that I have discovered is a unique boutique called Threla which is located in Cambridge, MA. Believe it or not, but the boutique was so close to my apartment that I felt foolish for never noticing it before.

Thank you Jessayln for nominating me for the Liebster Award. I am new to blogging, so it was exciting to be a part of this. Answering the questions was a lot of fun! xx

So you're probably wondering what a Liebster Award is..
I was also a little confused about what is was so I did some research(google). The Liebster Award is given to new and and recent bloggers who have less than 200 followers. I love this award because it is a fun and easy way to bring us bloggers together to connect and share our blogs with each other :) How sweet right? By the way, Liebster means sweet in German!

How the Award Works:
On to the award! Here is what you do:
Step 1: Answer the 11 questions that I have asked.
Step 2: Choose 11 more blogs (under 200 followers).
Step 3: Ask those new 11 bloggers a set of 11 new questions.
Step 4: Contact the 11 bloggers to let them know they have been  tagged.

Rub a Dove Dove, Away with the Fuzz. (Dry Hair? Click here)

Got dry hair? Read here!
My mother always told me, "You're hair makes the biggest difference. You can go from dull to glamourous with a nice hairstyle." I never really got what she was talking about until I got older, and now I completely understand what she meant.

I have pretty dry hair. If I don't blow dry and flatiron my hair, it just looks fuzzy and frizzy. If you're anything like me, you can understand my frustration. Taking care of curly, wavy, fuzzy or thick hair can be tiring and annoying! But- NO MORE WORRIES my beauties because I've got a trick that will literally save your hair, especially if it's a little damaged. I will share one of my best-kept hair secrets with you so you can say good-bye to dull and unmanageable hair, and say hello to beautiful soft hair!

I adore Dove products- from bath products to hair products. However, you can use any type of hair products that you believe work best for your type of hair to do this little trick at home :) This can be done on ALL hair types!
